Career guidance program for grade 9 learners

A career guidance program was also launched for grade 9 learners at Fumana Secondary School with an attendance of 284 learners. A self-assessment instrument was given to learners prior to the program which allowed learners to know their exact personality and learner type and suggested career paths, to enable them to make an informed career choice before attending the program. The career coaching session which followed the self-assessment was interactive & engaging.

SGH Foundation Entrepreneurship workshop for grade 7 learners

An entrepreneurship workshop was hosted at Thulisa Primary school in Katlehong. A total of 85 learners attended the session. The program supported the economic and management science entrepreneurship project that had to be completed by the grade 7 learners as part of their curriculum. Teachers reported increased communication and teamwork, confidence of their learners in implementing their business idea and business plan.
