Programme 4: Leadership Development in the Schools
Program objectives
One of Sakhumnotho Foundation’s objectives is to contribute to the betterment of African Leaders and the Education System. Groups are mobilized for Leadership Development Training in respect of SGB Members, and separate Groups are undertaken for Principals and SMT Leaders.
Program Outline
This Program provides the tools to improve their leadership skills.
To equip them with skills to self- lead and understand Personal Mastery as a Self- empowerment leadership process.
To improve team development.
Leaders are also orientated to the different Transformative Leadership Styles.
Learning Methodology
The Format of the Training is undertaken as follows:
Provision of Theory.
Group Discussions and Feedback.
Journalling.
Case Studies.
Value of Feedback.
Program Format and Delivery
Program Content was multi- layered seeking to link Self Leadership/ Leading Others/ understanding the environment.
Ice Breakers are used effectively to create a chemistry with one another.
